Beatrice Okullooyere, Director of Education at Rooted Christian Schools, received her Bachelor of Science with Education Degree from Makerere University, Kampala, in 1999 and her Masters’ degree in Educational Planning and Administration from the same University in 2009, and she is also a Master Trainer. Beatrice began her educational career in 1999, teaching at Kitante Hill School, Kampala then to Gulu High School and St. Joseph’s College, Layibi in Gulu.
She has also had brief periods of work in Early Childhood Development and Primary school. She has experience in non-governmental educational project work with USAID’s REPLICA, British Council’s Language for Resilience and Unified for Uganda’s Sponsorship and Mentoring Program, among others. She is a graduate teacher of Biology and Chemistry with a passion for education and believes that all children can learn, given the opportunity and the right resources.
She has a deep love for community service and a heart to help the less privileged. Her personal motto is: “I can do all things through Christ,” Philippians 4:13. Rooted Christian Schools students and staff are blessed by her humble, God-fearing leadership and her passion to see every child reach the fullness of their potential.

Chisala Zulu began his professional career in 2016 as an architect with Greencode Architects Ltd in Lusaka, Zambia. Over the years, he served as a design and project architect, interior designer, and project manager on a variety of projects—including housing developments, shopping malls, Standard Chartered Bank branches, school libraries and performance halls, Hilton Hotels, and multiple commercial interiors.
His experience also includes project management and architectural work for international NGOs such as USAID, SoCha (Social Change), and UNICEF, where he contributed to the design and construction of affordable community schools. Chisala holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Copperbelt University (2016) and became a Registered Corporate Member of the Zambian Institute of Architects in 2020.
His training emphasizes project management, sustainable design, and green building solutions. In 2021, Chisala felt a clear call from God to leave his professional career and devote his life to spreading the gospel. That step of faith led him to Gulu, Uganda, where he embraced the mission field as a place of learning, service, and spiritual growth. He joined Rooted Ministries in 2023. Deeply passionate about discipleship and youth ministry, Chisala has served as a Sunday school teacher and youth leader, sharing the Word of God with conviction and love. He lives by the words of Matthew 23:11: "The greatest among you will be your servant."

Obonyo Ronnie serves as the Head Teacher of Rooted Christian Primary School. He began his journey in education with the Uganda Certificate of Education from Nebbi Town Secondary School in 1997. He later graduated from Arua Core Primary Teachers’ College in 2005 as a fully qualified primary teacher.
Ronnie has taught in several schools, including Akanyo Primary School (8 years) and Agwok Primary School (4 years), and later served as Acting Head Teacher at Ringe Memorial Primary School for 2 years.
His leadership experience is backed by a Higher Diploma in Primary Education from Kyambogo University, where he studied educational management, planning, and practice. Beyond Uganda, Ronnie served in South Sudan as a Community Facilitator for moral education in Eastern Equatoria Province, where he helped establish 100 functional youth and adult learning centers.
In addition to his academic background, Ronnie holds certifications in Administrative Law and Human Resource Management from the Youth Institute of Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development College in Kampala. He also earned a certificate in Discipleship, a Diploma in Bible Study, and a Degree in Theology and Ministry from Victoria International University in Accra, Ghana.
Since 2015, Ronnie has served as a pastor with Soul Gospel Center Ministries and now serves with Rooted Ministries. He has a deep passion for serving orphans, widows, and the elderly, and is committed to fostering academic excellence, strong moral character, and Christian living.
His personal motto is: “God is my fighter.” (Exodus 14:14)

Maureen Akello is a passionate and experienced educator specializing in early childhood education, with a strong background in social work and child development. She holds a Certificate in Social Work and Social Administration from Makerere Institute for Social Development, a Diploma in Development Studies from Nkumba University, and a Diploma in Early Childhood Development from YMCA Kampala.
Maureen has served as Headteacher at Silver Bears Pre-School in Kampala and Greenhill School in South Sudan. She has also worked as a classroom teacher, tutor at Read for Life, and Head of the Reading Department at Elite Kids Montessori School in Kampala.
Currently, Maureen leads the Nursery School at Rooted Christian Schools and oversees the Early Childhood Reading Program, which spans from nursery through Primary Grade 3. She is dedicated to making learning simple, fun, and engaging, using her creativity to inspire a lifelong love of learning in her students. A strong team player, Maureen works collaboratively with staff to ensure each child receives the best possible foundation for their education.
